All Fishbone releases from 1985 to 1996, including 5 albums, 3 EPs, and a greatest hits/rarities compilation. The reason I am only including their work up to 1996 is simply because afterward nearly everyone left. People usually cite "Truth and Soul" as their best work and "Reality" as their most creative so the former would be the best way to start unless you are feeling REALLY adventurous, in that case I recommend the latter. However, I would personally recommend their Christmas EP "It's a Wonderful Life" as I believe it is not only the perfect showcase of their talent with handling different genres, but also because it's great for the holidays! Their first EP is also a masterpiece of it's genre and deserving of your attention. "In Your Face" and "Give a Monkey a Brain" are good but lacking in the band's frantic energy and experimentation. "Chim Chim", while lacking 2 original members, is still an improvement over their last album and worth a listen, especially for the song "Alcoholic".
